Connections beyond connectivity
Youth and Possible Futures: PLINK manifesto
When I think of the word “connection,” I do not think of cables, infrastructure, or the technologies that run through our facilities. I think of people. Our mission is to create innovative services that support individuals and businesses, enabling the development of meaningful relationships while fostering business growth.
Over the years, we have come to understand that technology is valuable only when it improves people’s lives. To achieve this, we must engage with real contexts, look at young people face to face, and recognize in them a present that calls us to take responsibility for the future.
Throughout these years, I have met hundreds of young individuals in schools, sports facilities, and public events. I have listened to their voices, sensed their fear of not making it, their concern about not being enough, and the anxiety of walking in a world where everyone else seems to be running. When they look at the business world, they seek credible role models and a community they can identify with one grounded in consistency of values. Indeed, a company is (or should be) an entity capable of generating social, cultural, and human value before economic value.
PLINK has always believed that a company should both educate and be open to learning. This is why we have brought art and culture into our workplace. They remind us that the process matters as much as the outcome, that work is an evolving creation, and that each individual contributes something unique to the fabric of the organization.
The “Eulero Project” stems from the belief that people need more than just a desk. They need purpose, an environment that fosters creativity, encourages listening, and supports personal growth. Technology is merely a tool; humanity is our true goal.
Every time I meet a student, I find myself wondering what we, as a company, can do to make their future brighter, richer, and more meaningful. Our social commitment is shaped by this question.
PLINK is not a company that observes young people from a distance. We walk alongside them. And if one day even just one of them looks back and says, “PLINK made a difference for me,” then we will have fulfilled our purpose.
